Here at Wf360 we have been privileged to enjoy the services and company of a series of interns. Each of them has made a major contribution to Wf360. They are here with us to learn about running an entrepreneurial business and they tell us they hope the internship here will improve their English speaking skills.
We've had wonderful young men and women from England, France, Mexico, Germany, Korea, China, Switzerland and places in between. Everyone wanting to improve their English.
Until just now, when I watched the TEDx talk of Patricia Ryan, a teacher of English in the Middle East, I did not question the rightness of everyone speaking English. Patricia raises an important question: is the world's focus on English preventing the spread of great ideas in other languages?
Check out Patricia's talk here. I'd be interested to hear what you think.
Author of I is for Intercourse: The ABC's of Conversation, Susan Bird is the visionary behind Wf360, and a sought-after speaker around the world for her views on leadership, the strategic importance of conversation, entrepreneurship, and the role of women business leaders.
Susan I love your blog, you are doing a great job. Besides the internship in your company really improved my english skills. Greetings from Germany, Yeliz!
