In a recent Harvard Business Review article on the HBR Blog Network, Kyle Wiens says he won't hire anyone to work in his company--regardless of the position--if that person uses poor grammar.
Wiens is CEO of two companies, iFixit and Dozuki, and he is serious about his position on grammar and its importance in any organization. He isn't taking an esoteric stance based on intellectual niceties. He feels bad grammar is bad business and to hire people who don't know the difference between its and it's is detrimental to his company's bottom line.
Clearly, he is a man after my heart. I feel so strongly about it, I urge you to read his article for yourself. It's called "I won't hire people who use poor grammar. Here's why".
Go, Kyle!
