It's an old Texas saying for which no one seems to know the origin. Ted Cruz seems to me to personify the phrase. The man talks. and talks. and talks. We know just recently he talked for over 21 hours in his effort--supposedly--to stave off the note on Obamacare. But some think his real reason for his verbal assault was to promote himself, get seen and heard by all the Tea Party folks out there who like his kind of contrariness, and even add monies to his own coffers.
Question is, I suppose, whether Ted Cruz is even capable of engaging in a conversation. The kind of equal exchange where each side intends to learn from the other. I suspect not.
In any event, he takes the Washington game of politics to a new low of inaction. I've nearly finished reading This Town by Mark Leibovich which has left me feeling there may not be an incorruptible person left in Foggy Bottom.
